Rekord D is a 10-15 degree slow spiral flute tap and is the first choice for tapping blind holes with counter bore in long chipping materials which is especially recommended on automatic lathes and multi-spindle machines. Select 2-3 thread chamfer length whenever possible and 1.5-2 chamfer length only for blind hole applications requiring close-to-bottom clearance.
VA geometry is for cutting stainless steel and steel materials. -VA geometry includes increased profile relief which reduces tool-to-work piece friction guarantees reliable performance and proper guidance for true-to-gage thread cutting on most machines types. TIN surface treatment is recommended.
